This piece is part of our 2023 Valentines Collection inspired by Paleography (the study of old handwriting) and 'posey' ring inscriptions which typically featured on wedding and love rings from the Middle Ages. 
These were often written in French or Latin for example, 'Amor vincet omnia' or 'Love conquers all'. 
The text on this skirt reads 'After suffering comes pleasure'
